TWO-CAR SMASH

DRIVERS faced tailbacks after a two-car smash on Bonis Hall Lane.

Police, an ambulance and a rapid response vehicle attended the scene following a collision involving a Lexus and a Saab near the junction with Butley Lane at 8.05am on Monday, March 21.

Police closed the road at the Mill Lane junction, meaning tailbacks of more than an hour for morning commuters on the popular route into Macclesfield.

A spokesman for North West Ambulance Service said there were no reported injuries.

The cars were towed away and the road reopened at 9.25am.
