More to come from wing ace Sutherland
MACCLESFIELD Town winger Chris Sutherland believes his best is still yet to come for the National League club.
He recently signed a contract extension with the Silkmen, and Sutherland thinks he is capable of making a big impact over the coming weeks.
“I’ve had a taste of action so far and now I want more. I don’t think I’ve really had a run of games yet so hopefully I can keep doing well on the pitch and in training and I’ll take my chance when it comes,” he said.
“It is always good as a player to have stability, it means you can worry slightly less about your future as you concentrate on your current performance.
“Now my contract is extended I’m hoping I can continue to improve my football and I’ll show my best.”
Sutherland knows that the team haven’t been up to scratch since the start of 2016, but he is confident they can turn things around.
“We all know what we’re capable of and hopefully a win will let us advance on the recent draws we’ve been picking up.”
Sutherland began his career with Oldham Athletic and also played for Ashton United last year.
