Ap­peal for donors at lat­est blood ses­sions

HEALTHY res­i­dents are be­ing urged to do their bit and do­nate to the na­tional blood bank.

The next do­na­tion ses­sion in Mac­cles­field will be at the Bro­ken Cross Club, Bro­ken Cross, on Mon­day, April 11.

Ses­sions run be­tween 1.40pm and 4.15pm, or be­tween 5.30pm and 7.55pm.

There are also ses­sions on Sun­day, April 24, at the Se­nior Cit­i­zens Hall on Duke Street, Mac­cles­field.

Donors can go along be­tween 9.40am and 12.10pm, or 1.25pm and 3.55pm.

Peo­ple can also do­nate at Wilm­slow Par­ish Hall, on Cliff Road, on Fri­day, April 15.

Blood is vi­tal for a va­ri­ety of life-sav­ing pro­ce­dures such as dur­ing or af­ter child­birth or treat­ing pa­tients with blood dis­or­ders.

NHS Blood and Trans­plant al­ways needs first-time donors to re­place those who are no longer able to do­nate.

First-timers need to be aged be­tween 17 and 66.
