Collapse paves way to Prestbury defeat

Macclesfield Express - - SEARCH - BILL LIVESLEY

PRESTBURY were asked to bat in their game against Stockport Trinity and lost Tom Livesley (8) and Rami Iyer (1).

A solid innings by debutant Su Costello (47) supported by Rommel Gondal (22) got them to 79-3 but Aaquel Ahmed 0, followed by Sam gilding on debut (2), Cam Kirkland (2), Ben Oakes (2), Kevin Murray (0) and Dan Hughan (0) all went cheaply. It left Abdullah Waseem on 30 not out and a below par score of 117.

Gilding with 3-13 and a wonder catch by Livesley had Trinity at 16-4 but Potts (27no) Shaw (74) saw them home at 119-4.

Prestbury will have to fight hard in this division but there was no shortage of effort and that bodes well.
