BODY FOUND

PO­LICE were called to re­ports of a sud­den death at an ad­dress on The Moss.

The body of a 51-year-old man was taken from a prop­erty on Can­ton Street at around 2pm on Thurs­day, April 28.

Po­lice have not yet for­mally iden­ti­fied the body.

The coroner’s of­fice has been in­formed.

A po­lice spokesman said en­quiries are on­go­ing but the cause of death is not thought to be sus­pi­cious.

Of­fi­cers are at­tempt­ing to con­tact the man’s fam­ily.

PRES­SURE TEST

SHOP­PERS were given ur­gent doc­tor re­fer­rals af­ter a blood pres­sure event by the Stroke As­so­ci­a­tion with The Ro­tary Club of Mac­cles­field Cas­tle at the Grosvenor Cen­tre.

Peo­ple had their blood pres­sure taken and got ad­vice on how to re­duce and keep it un­der con­trol to de­crease the risk of hav­ing a stroke.

There were 249 blood pres­sures taken that re­sulted in 44 rou­tine re­fer­rals to their GP and 20 ur­gent re­fer­rals.
