Brownies enjoy first holiday

-

BROWNIES invaded a quiet village for its first pack holiday.

The 18 girls from four units in Poynton visited Rostherne and Tatton Park.

Among the activities they enjoyed were crafts and petting baby farm animals.

Lyndsay Lamb, Brownie leader, said: “The weekend was organised by the Guide leaders and two Rainbow leaders who wanted to give the girls the opportunity to attend a residential weekend away.

“The girls had an amazing time on their adventure which included spending the day at Tatton Park which involved a tractor ride from the gates, running around the fantastic gardens, playing on the park and getting hands-on with the baby animals on the farm.

“The girls made different crafts including mad hatters hats, sparkly glasses and masks ready for their mad hatters tea party and they even watched a film on a big screen in their pjs.

“The Brownies all made new friends, learnt new skills like washing up and peeling potatoes and had the time of their lives.”
