Undies add hilarious twist to dad’s TV test
AMACCLESFIELD man’s hilarious ‘wardrobe mal- function’ was aired on a TV game show.
Eddie Murphy, 45, was a contestant on the BBC show Can’t Touch This.
The aim of the game is to navigate a larger than life assault course while clocking up prizes.
Eddie, who lives with wife Karen and son Nathan on Congleton Road, said his attempt went horribly wrong.
He said: “To start off the course you are catapulted into a pool of foam cushions. But, being 19 stone, I sunk straight to the bottom and after 10 minutes had to be helped out. If that wasn’t embarrassing, my shorts fell down revealing my bright red undies.
“While it was embarrassing, it was also hilarious and had the presenter Zoe Ball in hysterics.”
Eddie, who runs his own transport company, was flown to Belfast where the show was filmed last October.
It is not the first show Eddie has been on. He won £25,000 on the BBC show Who Dares Wins, and £4,000 on the show Two Tribes. His appear- ance alongside Karen on the show The Getaway Car was never televised.
Eddie said: “Game shows are a great experience, a real buzz.”
