Motorcyclist injured in smash
A MOTORCYCLIST was taken to hospital after being involved in a collision with a car.
Police, fire crews and an ambulance attended the incident on Chester Road just after 6.30pm on Saturday.
A 41-year-old motorbiker was taken to Macclesfield Hospital with minor injuries.
A spokesman for North West Ambulance Service said: “We treated two patients who were car passengers with minor injuries complaining of chest pain at the scene.
“A man in his early 40s with minor injuries was taken to hospital.
“There was another patient with minor injuries who did not want to go to hospital.
“This patient had not suffered any major trauma.”
One fire engine from Macclesfield attended the scene and crews worked to make the area safe.
Police officers closed off the road while the incident was being dealt with.
A police spokesman said: “At 6.32pm on Saturday May 7, police were called to a collision on Chester Road in Macclesfield involving a car and a motorbike.
“The rider, a 41-yearold man from Stockport, was taken to hospital with slight injuries.”
