Mo­tor­cy­clist in­jured in smash

A MO­TOR­CY­CLIST was taken to hospi­tal af­ter be­ing in­volved in a col­li­sion with a car.

Po­lice, fire crews and an am­bu­lance at­tended the in­ci­dent on Ch­ester Road just af­ter 6.30pm on Satur­day.

A 41-year-old mo­tor­biker was taken to Mac­cles­field Hospi­tal with mi­nor in­juries.

A spokesman for North West Am­bu­lance Ser­vice said: “We treated two pa­tients who were car pas­sen­gers with mi­nor in­juries com­plain­ing of chest pain at the scene.

“A man in his early 40s with mi­nor in­juries was taken to hospi­tal.

“There was an­other pa­tient with mi­nor in­juries who did not want to go to hospi­tal.

“This pa­tient had not suf­fered any ma­jor trauma.”

One fire en­gine from Mac­cles­field at­tended the scene and crews worked to make the area safe.

Po­lice of­fi­cers closed off the road while the in­ci­dent was be­ing dealt with.

A po­lice spokesman said: “At 6.32pm on Satur­day May 7, po­lice were called to a col­li­sion on Ch­ester Road in Mac­cles­field in­volv­ing a car and a mo­tor­bike.

“The rider, a 41-yearold man from Stock­port, was taken to hospi­tal with slight in­juries.”
