THE annual meeting of Prestbury Parish Council will be held on Tuesday, May 17 at 7.30pm at Prestbury Village Hall.
The meeting will discuss a report on the past year and future plans for the village. The meeting will provide attendees with the opportunity to see what is planned for the area, and the chance to chat to councillors and have their say.
Everyone is welcome to attend.
Tea and biscuits will be served after the meeting.
A BIKER has been seriously injured after colliding with a lorry.
The accident happened on the Cat and Fiddle near Macclesfield Forest at 3pm on Thursday, May 5.
Police shut the road in both directions while they investigated.
The biker was taken by air ambulance to Wythenshawe Hospital with serious injuries.
It is understood the lorry was a Renault HGV.

POLICE are investigating following an alleged burglary on Chester Road in Macclesfield.
A property at Grimshaw Lane, Bollington, was also targeted at around the same time on Monday, May 9.
A 24-year-old man has been charged with burglary and assaulting a police officer and was due to appear in court as we went to press on Tuesday.
TRAINS were delayed around Macclesfield Station due to a horse being spotted near the track. A spokesman for Virgin Trains told the Express that the animal was seen near the line between Macclesfield and Stoke-on-Trent, near to Congleton, on May 4. The spokesman said: “Our trains are running slightly slower past the Congleton area due to a horse being spotted near the line.”
