Sean serves up culinary tips to college learners
ASUCCESSFUL chef who trained at Macclesfield College returned to the classroom to share tips with students.
Sean Sutton, 30, who lives in Macclesfield, is the head chef at the Alderley Edge Hotel, which has three AA rosettes.
Working alongside curriculum leader Mark Boswell and tutor John Parrot, he helped the students produce a mouth-watering tasting menu for 60 special guests.
Julie Williams, front of house tutor at the college, said: “It’s so nice to have Sean back at the college and showing that if you put the hard work in, the opportunities are there.”
Mark Boswell said: “It was great to have Sean back so our current students could see what they can aspire to.
“The students were treated to a phenomenal learning experience working alongside Sean and his pastry chef and junior sous chef from the Alderley Edge Hotel.
“Overall it was an abso- lutely fabulous evening and we thank Sean and the Alderley Edge Hotel chefs for supporting the college and sharing their professional skills for the benefit of our students in their future careers.”
The food was served to the 60 paying customers by students training to do front of house at the college.
