●● FREELANCERS, homeworkers and small business owners are being invited to Poynton Business Jelly Cafe on Thursday, May 26.
Hosted by a member of Poynton In Business in partnership with the council, the café is a chance for people to work alongside like-minded people in a different setting for a few hours, with light refreshments, WiFi and free parking.
You can drop-in anytime between 9am and 12.30pm at the Civic Hall. The charge is £3. ●● THE civic hall is hosting a Spanish film evening, on Friday, May 13.
It is in a restaurant style with candle-lit tables and a cold buffet.
The film is Mr Kaplan and there will be English sub-titles and background presentations.

The free event will have an Olympic ‘Road to Rio’ theme but there will be music, crafts, community stalls, a football tournament, catering, samba music, Nordic walking and scooter disco for children and adults.
