●● FREE­LANCERS, home­work­ers and small busi­ness own­ers are be­ing in­vited to Poyn­ton Busi­ness Jelly Cafe on Thurs­day, May 26.

Hosted by a mem­ber of Poyn­ton In Busi­ness in part­ner­ship with the coun­cil, the café is a chance for peo­ple to work along­side like-minded peo­ple in a dif­fer­ent set­ting for a few hours, with light re­fresh­ments, WiFi and free park­ing.

You can drop-in any­time be­tween 9am and 12.30pm at the Civic Hall. The charge is £3. ●● THE civic hall is host­ing a Span­ish film evening, on Fri­day, May 13.

It is in a restau­rant style with can­dle-lit ta­bles and a cold buf­fet.

The film is Mr Ka­plan and there will be English sub-ti­tles and back­ground pre­sen­ta­tions.

The free event will have an Olympic ‘Road to Rio’ theme but there will be mu­sic, crafts, com­mu­nity stalls, a foot­ball tour­na­ment, cater­ing, samba mu­sic, Nordic walk­ing and scooter disco for chil­dren and adults.
