●● PRESTBURY Cricket Club will host Prestbury Vil­lage Sixes on July 17.

The fam­ily day will run from 12pm on­wards and crick­eters of all stan­dards are wel­come.

There will also be a fully li­censed bar and bar­be­cue at the event.

The cost is £30 per team of six.

The idea of the day is for peo­ple aged be­tween three and 80 to try ten­nis for free and find out what the club has to of­fer.

On the day peo­ple will be en­cour­aged to have a go.

To help po­ten­tial new play­ers and those who have not played for a long time, cour­ses are avail­able.

There will also be car­dio ses­sions chas­ing ten­nis balls and hit­ting them.

The club’s head coach and team of coaches will be avail­able dur­ing the af­ter­noon.

There will be af­ter­noon teas avail­able and the bar will be open.

Dis­counted mem­ber­ship rates will also be of­fered on the day.

The trees are of the conif­er­ous ever­green va­ri­ety.
