Dealers who sold drugs on streets jailed
TWO members of a gang who sold drugs on the streets of Macclesfield have been locked up for more than eight years.
Thomas Quadrio, 32, admitted conspiracy to supply class A drugs after a court was told that he had made sure that drugs were ‘always available’ on the streets of Macclesfield.
Quadrio’s main dealer was Darren Cooper, 40, who was caught selling drugs on the Weston estate, at times near St John The Evangelist Primary School.
Quadrio was jailed for five years at Warrington Crown Court while Cooper was locked up for 40 months.
The gang of four men were snared as the result of a year-long undercover operation by the Cheshire Police called Operation Alzira.
Another dealer Benjamin Preece, 34, was caught selling heroin on Jodrell Street.
Quadrio employed a driver, Peter Jones, 51, who used his Renault Clio to take him to and from Liverpool where the supply of drugs originated from.
