BUR­GLARS at­tempted to break into a house through pa­tio doors.

The in­ci­dent hap­pened at a house on Roe­wood Lane, Hurdsfield, at about 3am on Satur­day, May 7.

Res­i­dents are en­cour­aged to make sure their homes are se­cure.

TEEN IN COURT

A TEENAGER who car­ried out an as­sault has been or­dered to pay his vic­tim £3,000 in com­pen­sa­tion.

At Mac­cles­field mag­is­trates’ court on April 26, Char­lie Lan­cashire, 19, ad­mit­ted as­sault oc­ca­sion­ing ac­tual bod­ily harm against the man.

Lan­cashire, of Lower Beech Cot­tages, Tyther­ing­ton, was given a com­mu­nity or­der with 200 hours un­paid work and or­dered to pay £3,000 in com­pen­sa­tion.

The as­sault took place on Oc­to­ber 24, last year.

DRUG CHARGES

TWO teenage boys have ap­peared in court on drugs charges.

John Henry Spencer, 18, of Shaw Street, Mac­cles­field, is ac­cused of pos­ses­sion of a class A drug, namely MDMA, with in­tent to sup­ply.

A 17-year-old boy from Wilm­slow, who can­not be named for le­gal rea­sons, is charged with pos­ses­sion of a class A drug, namely MDMA.

Both de­fen­dants ap­peared at Ch­ester Crown Court on May 17. They were bailed to at­tend the same court on July 21 for a trial of is­sue.

The charges re­late to an in­ci­dent in Au­gust 2015.
