BURGLARS attempted to break into a house through patio doors.
The incident happened at a house on Roewood Lane, Hurdsfield, at about 3am on Saturday, May 7.
Residents are encouraged to make sure their homes are secure.

TEEN IN COURT
A TEENAGER who carried out an assault has been ordered to pay his victim £3,000 in compensation.
At Macclesfield magistrates’ court on April 26, Charlie Lancashire, 19, admitted assault occasioning actual bodily harm against the man.
Lancashire, of Lower Beech Cottages, Tytherington, was given a community order with 200 hours unpaid work and ordered to pay £3,000 in compensation.
The assault took place on October 24, last year.
TWO teenage boys have appeared in court on drugs charges.
John Henry Spencer, 18, of Shaw Street, Macclesfield, is accused of possession of a class A drug, namely MDMA, with intent to supply.
A 17-year-old boy from Wilmslow, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is charged with possession of a class A drug, namely MDMA.
Both defendants appeared at Chester Crown Court on May 17. They were bailed to attend the same court on July 21 for a trial of issue.
The charges relate to an incident in August 2015.
