libroome already so near to the site it would be a nightmare for traffic. About time planning sorted there acts out. Ian Coppack: Thank God they turned it down.
The traffic is so bad there, let alone the tragic loss of this important buffer and Green Belt to boot! John June Heath: One of the most beautiful buildings in Macclesfield is well known as “The Kings School”, the gateway and beyond is stunning.
Why then do they want a building of modern design which you pass without a second glance? We are losing so many buildings for purposes and turning them into flats. We need to save our heritage. Planning officers list the building for use as senior school keeping a least one building in Macclesfield that was built for its purpose. Zoe Shephard: Cannot make better use of the site the school is currently on. Tracey A Newton: Brilliant news . Well done to those that voted against this. Christina Webb: Brilliant all round! Now we’ll see what the councillors decide. Marcus Lonyon: It’s not very big for so many pupils... Sam Redfern-Perry: Good news. Sharon Pollard: Good! Finally a sensible decision. Lisa Fox-Cooper: Great decision. Val Pownall: Let’s hope common sense prevails! Carole Poyser: Well that’s good news. Jo Lawson: Sense at last yay!!!! Lesley Chesney: Richard will be relieved. Ex 74yr old pupil. Brian Phillpotts: All part of the dance. Ding ding, seconds out, round two. Nick Thompson: So they’ll redesign the housing but I’ll be interested to see how they overcome the schooling problem.
