Lawyers don onesies for fundraising walk
LAWYERS, office staff and friends and family from a law firm donned baby grows and onesies for a very special fundraising event.
The volunteers from SAS Daniels, based in Macclesfield, walked from Congleton to Macclesfield to raise money for the Babygrow Appeal at The Countess of Chester Hospital.
The staff beat their original fundraising target of £500 and raised more than £930 for the charity.
They now hope to top their next target of £1,000.
The charity was established to raise £3m to build a brand new Neonatal Unit at the hospital which aims to provide better services and facilities for patients and their family.
According to Helen Gowin, partner at the firm, the 10 mile walk was well attended and good-humoured.
She said: “It was great fun to see colleagues, friends and family all dressed up in their baby grows instead of the usual work attire.
“The sunny weather lifted our spirits as we trekked through thick and slippery mud.
“We all had great fun and have been blown away by people’s generosity for this great cause.”
