Love, Nina BBC1, 9.30pm

Macclesfield Express - - TVWEEK -

In the 1980s, Nina Stibbe, a young nanny from Leicestershire, found herself rubbing shoulders with the literati after she landed a job on one of the most Bohemian streets in London. Her letters home to her sister, depicting the resultant culture clash, went on to form the basis of her award-winning, bestselling book, Love, Nina – and now it’s been adapted into this fictionalised comedy drama by Nick Hornby. If that wasn’t an impressive enough pedigree, the fivepart series also stars Helena Bonham Carter as Nina’s employer George.
