GRAHAM HACKNEY POTT Shrigley continued their unbeaten start to the season with a comprehensive victory at Tranmere Victoria.

Tranmere Victoria won the toss and elected to bat and Shrigley’s bowlers restricted them to 157.

For Shrigley, Matt Jackson took 6 for 56.

In reply, Alex Jackson anchored the innings with 53 not out, with good support from Phil Beard (35) and skipper Ryan Fitter (32).

Shrigley are well placed in fourth position in the league and await the visit of Maritime to Shrigley Park on Saturday.

Pott Shrigley seconds took on Trafford Metrovics at home at the weekend and enjoyed a convincing victory.

A tremendous performance by the seconds saw them rattle up a massive 255 for three.

Barlow and Hart opened steadily taking the score to 34 before Barlow went to a juggling catch in the deep.

This brought Shaun Wilson in and along with Hart dominated the visiting bowling with powerful shots all round the ground.

Hart was eventually dismissed for 70 then tradegdy struck as Wilson was bowled on 99.

A great innings putting Pott in control. Jon Wilkie (50) continued in the same vein.

Dixon’s control and flight then proved too much for Trafford, his 4-31 put them out of the race and they subsided to 123 all out.
