A PUB manager has been charged with selling booze to a child.
Frank Shepley, 57, of Palmerston Street, Macclesfield, is to appear in court charged with selling alcohol to a 16-yearold.
The incident is alleged to have happened at the Dog and Partridge in Bollington on June 12, 2015.
He has been bailed to appear at Crewe magistrates’ court today on June 1.
A MAN with a ‘horrendous’ criminal record has been jailed for theft.
Gareth Lee Oldham, 32, of Pitt Street, Macclesfield, admitted stealing groceries and alcohol worth £44.27 from McColls in Sandbach and breaching four supervision orders.
Crewe magistrates jailed him for 112 days.
Court records said magistrates felt they would be ‘failing in their duty if they did not impose custody’ because of the ‘horrendous record of offending’.
