CASES heard be­fore South and East Cheshire Mag­is­trates’ courts. ●● STEPHEN John May­ers, 57, of Lake Road, Rud­yard, ad­mit­ted send­ing an elec­tronic com­mu­ni­ca­tion which con­veyed a threat for the pur­pose of caus­ing dis­tress or anx­i­ety. He was sen­tenced to 12 weeks in prison sus­pended for 12 months and given a re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion ac­tiv­ity re­quire­ment for 20 days. He was also given a two year re­strain­ing order pre­vent­ing him from con­tact­ing the vic­tim. ●● JOHN Han­mer, 59, of Daw­son Road, Mac­cles­field, de­nied as­sault. He was bailed to court to Septem­ber 22 for the trial. ●● JULIE Han­mer, 54, of Daw­son Road, Mac­cles­field, de­nied as­sault. She was bailed to court to Septem­ber 22 for the trial. ●● DAVID Charles Bam­ford, 54, of Hayle Close, Mac­cles­field, ad­mit­ted as­sault. He was bailed to at­tend court on Septem­ber 13 for a new­ton hear­ing. ●● BRIAN An­thony Leonard, 39, of Brian An­thony Leonard, ad­mit­ted at­tempt­ing to en­ter as a tres­passer Ro­bat Ltd on Snape Road with in­tent to steal. He was jailed for eight weeks. ●● HARRY Bai­ley, 19, of Tran­mere Drive, Hand­forth, ad­mit­ted
