What does it in­volve?: Join Lucy Adling­ton of the His­tory Wardrobe for a cel­e­bra­tion of the tra­di­tional white wed­ding with a gor­geous ar­ray of gowns from ev­ery decade of the 20th cen­tury. This fas­ci­nat­ing pre­sen­ta­tion will be il­lus­trated with orig­i­nal wed­ding dresses, each with its own tale to tell. Tak­ing place in the at­mo­spheric au­di­to­rium at the Old Sun­day School, you can also drop into the free dis­play ‘Some­thing Bor­rowed, Some­thing Blue’ for a glimpse of wed­dings of the past in Mac­cles­field. As an added bonus, Heidi Reid of Glo­ri­ous Tiaras at the Mak­ers’ Place will be giv­ing a demon­stra­tion from 11am of her hand­crafted bri­dal ac­ces­sories, with an op­por­tu­nity to try the craft your­self.
