What does it involve?: Join Lucy Adlington of the History Wardrobe for a celebration of the traditional white wedding with a gorgeous array of gowns from every decade of the 20th century. This fascinating presentation will be illustrated with original wedding dresses, each with its own tale to tell. Taking place in the atmospheric auditorium at the Old Sunday School, you can also drop into the free display ‘Something Borrowed, Something Blue’ for a glimpse of weddings of the past in Macclesfield. As an added bonus, Heidi Reid of Glorious Tiaras at the Makers’ Place will be giving a demonstration from 11am of her handcrafted bridal accessories, with an opportunity to try the craft yourself.
