Wild lifts Kerridge
KERRIDGE made the short trip over to Warrington to play Appleton, won the toss and batted first.
After recent weeks of no play they hit the ground running. Ste Regan hit a determined 62, Jimmy Knight showed his stroke play skills for 31 but it was Luke Wild with his 151* who stole the show in just 14 overs with 29 boundaries, 15 of those being sixes, in a remarkable partnership of 184 with Alex Grimes 25*. Kerridge declared on 312/5 in the 42nd over
Appleton were never going to chase down 300 plus and from the offset were determined to thwart Kerridge a win and padded up from the start.
Kerridge threw everything at them looking for the win , but after 48 overs could only get the hosts to 104-9, with Knight 5-13 off his 15 overs the pick of the bowling with Carl Ryder also getting a brace.
Kerridge still took 15 points. This weekend they are at home against Glazebury.
