Rugby legend opens practice
A STATE-OF-THE-ART counselling practice was opened in Macclesfield by guest of honour former England rugby captain Bill Beaumont CBE and Macclesfield MP David Rutley.
The sports legend took time out of a busy schedule preparing for his new role as Head of World Rugby to help three friends launch Hayward and Goodchild Counselling Services.
The new business has been set up to tend to the mental health needs of the general public living in the wider Macclesfield area.
It brings together three experts from different fields of clinical therapy to ensure children, young people and adults in Macclesfield have access to professional counselling services in a comfortable and inspiring environment.
The counselling practice – run by Linda Hayward, Lisa and Glyn Goodchild – offers one-to-one counselling, play therapy and hypnotherapy.
Bill Beaumont, who captained England 21 times, said: “The services provided at the new practice will play an important role in the local community.”
David Rutley said: “It is great to see Hayward and Goodchild off to such a positive start.”
