Town flies the flag for Royal birthday

UNION Jack’s were fly­ing across Mac­cles­field for dozens of street par­ties which were tak­ing place on the Queen’s spe­cial day.

Pa­tri­ot­i­cally dec­o­rated ta­bles lined the streets as friends and neigh­bours gath­ered to en­joy food, drink and fun.

But the or­gan­ised fun wasn’t just to cel­e­brate the Queen’s 90th birthday, they were also in­tended to bring the com­mu­nity to­gether and raise funds for lo­cal com­mu­ni­ties. ●●
