A CHARITY which supports adults with learning disabilities is getting into the festival spirit.

Dropper Inners based at the Speaking Up Speaking Out’s Parachute drop in centre are taking part in three events during this year’s Barnaby Festival.

They shared the message ‘no more barriers’ as they marched in the parade at the weekend, and today, Wednesday 22, they will be spending lunchtime - from 12.30 until 1.30pm - in the Market Place teaching people easy sign language.

On Friday, June 24, they will be holding a concert at the United Reformed Church on Park Green.

There will be original compositions exploring the disparity between internal freedoms and the barriers of the external world. Dropper-Inner Graham Barnett said: “The music will show the feelings of the people who come to SUSO. Come along and let your hair down. You’ll get to see amazing people performing.”
