Duo join up down under
TWO former Macclesfield Town stars have linked back up on the other side of the globe at Australian side South Adelaide Panthers.
Former Macclesfield coach Daniel Graystone is now coaching at South Adelaide, and has been joined by ex-Silkmen goalkeeper Matthew Towns.
Graystone was a former FITC coach during Sammy McIlroy’s tenure at Macc, and has spent the last few years forging a career in Australia, leading to his current role with South Adelaide.
South Adelaide are currently second bottom in the National Premier League South Australia table, having won just four of their 15 matches.
In a bid to help the team avoid relegation, Graystone has now signed Towns to help the team for the remainder of the 2016 season.
The NPL South Australia division are in the middle of a minibreak, with South Adelaide’s next game coming when they travel to WT Birkalla on Saturday 2 July.
