Man attacked former friend
A MAN attacked a former friend because he believed he’d had an affair with his wife, a court heard.
Anthony Pardue, 60, assaulted William Kayaruhanga outside his work place. Pardue’s wife had returned home to the Philippines and been hospitalised because of stress. At Macclesfield magistrates’ court, Pardue, of Chester Road, Macclesfield, admitted assault.
Debbie Byrne, prosecuting said: “The defendant had been drinking. He waited outside the complainant work and when he saw him said ‘he’s been having sex with my wife and put her in hospital. I am going to have him’. The defendant ran over waving his arms about. Mr Kayaruhanga fell from his bike and started to run.”
Anthony Derbyshire, defending Pardue said: “He was extremely frustrated. He had been told that the victim had been in an adulterous relationship with his wife. She had returned to the Philippines suffering with mental health problems following the stress of the affair.”
Pardue will be sentenced next month.
