Bonfire night fun right across town

ANUMBER of bonfire events will be held across the town over the week­end of Fri­day, Novem­ber 4, and Satur­day, Novem­ber 5.

Mac­cles­field Cricket Club’s Fire­work Fes­ti­val will be held on Fri­day.

There will be a fire show, fun­fair and stalls, and two fire­work dis­plays at the Victoria Road club, with one for kids at 7.15pm and the main event at 8pm.

There will also be a li­censed bar and food. Tick­ets are avail­able from Chrome Mo­tors, on Beech Lane, Treacle Pies, on Char­lotte Street, Sim­ply Scrummy on Ch­ester­gate, Bar­gain Booze on Ch­ester Road, Club AZ, Best One on Bond Street, The Sand­wich Bar in Broke Cross, Soma Cafe and Bar on Sun­der­land Street, and Boozer on Mill Street.

Tick­ets cost £20 for a fam­ily ticket (£15 in ad­vance), £7.50 adult (£5), £5 kids (£4).

Prest­bury Golf Club’s bonfire and fire­works dis­play is also planned for Fri­day.

The bonfire will be lit at 5.30pm and the fire­works will start at 7.30pm. There will also be a bar and food stalls at the Mac­cles­field Road club.

Tick­ets cost £10 for adults, £5 for ju­niors - glow rings in­cluded - or £25 for fam­ily.

The Tyther­ing­ton Club presents its Bonfire and Fire­work Dis­play on Satur­day, Novem­ber 5.

The gates to the club on Dorch­ester Way, Tyther- in­g­ton, will open at 5.30pm. The bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm and the fire­work dis­play at around 7pm. There will also be a fun­fair, food stalls and refreshments. Ad­vance tick­ets cost £26 (fam­ily ticket), £9 (adult) and £6 (un­der 12s). A bonfire night at Shrigley Cricket Pott Club will also take place on Satur­day. Vis­i­tors to the cricket field at Pott Shrigley can en­joy a fire­work dis­play, rea ale, mulled wine, glow­sticks, bar­be­cue and games.

Tick­ets cost £7 for daults, £3 for kids and £16 for fam­i­lies. An­drew’s Mot­tram St vil­lage bonfire takes place on Satur­day at the vil­lage hall.

There will be a fire­works dis­play, li­censed bar and hot food.

Doors open at 6pm and the bonfire will be lit around 6.45pm. The fire­works dis­play will be at 7.30pm. Tick­ets in ad­vance cost £6 per adult and £3 per child from the so­cial club bar or phoning 01625 584943.

The Poyn­ton Bonfire and Fire­works will be held at Poyn­ton Pool on Satur­day from 5.30pm.

The event has been or­gan­ised by Poyn­ton Round Ta­ble with all pro­ceeds go­ing to good causes. The event will in­clude a ju­nior fire­work dis­play at 7pm, with the main one at 8pm, a fair­ground, fam­ily view­ing area, live bands, li­censed bar and food stalls.

Tick­ets start at £4 for chil­dren, £7 adults and £16 for fam­i­lies.

Get your tick­ets from Mates DIY, Park Lane, Poyn­ton, The Kabin, Park Lane, Poyn­ton, In Gear UK Bike Ser­vic­ing, School Lane, Poyn­ton, or from any of the Poyn­ton schools.

Beech Hall School on Beech Hall Drive in Tyther­ing­ton will hold a pro­fes­sional fire­work dis­play and bonfire from 4.30pm on Fri­day. Tick­ets can be bought via www. pta- events. co. uk/ bhpa/ or the school of­fice on 01625 422192. There will be a safe enclosed en­vi­ron­ment for young chil­dren, hot food, li­censed bar and choco­late bar.

The Har­ring­ton Arms in Bosley will have a bonfire on and bar­be­cue at 7pm, with fire­works at 8pm on Satur­day.

En­try costs £2 per adult £1 per child or its £5 for a fam­ily of 4.

PLEASE do not take your own fire­works or sparklers to any of the events.
