A BOLLINGTON football team is sporting a shiny new kit thanks to a Rainow pub.

The amateur junior football club - Bollington United Jaguars - has been sponsored by the Robin Hood Pub in Rainow, which has funded a new kit for the players.

The U10’s team, comprising a mixture of players from the Rainow and Bollington primary schools, had a fantastic 2015/16 season and an equally great start to this season so far. They are managed by Paul Cooper and Neil Pettie who volunteer their time every Saturday.

Paul said: “We are really lucky to have a team of lovely lads who are committed, enthusiastic and, above all, great friends.”

Neil added: “It’s been fantastic to watch them develop and gel as a team over the years and we’re delighted that the Robin Hood agreed to sponsor us”.

The team have been playing together for three years in the Stockport Metro League.
