Young­sters get ready as Santa stops on the Moss

SANTA will be hand­ing out presents to hun­dreds of boys and girls on the Moss es­tate.

The man in red and his lit­tle helpers will be vis­it­ing the es­tate on De­cem­ber 14 to 19, be­tween 5.30pm and 8pm. Roads vis­ited on De­cem­ber 14 in­clude Western Av­enue, Coppice Rise, Maple Av­enue and Cedar Grove.

Then on De­cem­ber 15 he will stop by Rut­land Road, Park­gate, Bel­grave Road, Corn­brook Road, Moorhill and Moss Lane.

On De­cem­ber 16 the route will be Moss Lane (out­side the Golden Lion), Ash Grove, Bel­grave Road, May­field Av­enue, Lyme Av­enue and Park­gate.

Fi­nally, on De­cem­ber 19, Santa will visit Craig Road and Hen­shaws for any­one who missed him.

The group also run a let­ter de­liv­ery ser­vice where chil­dren can drop let­ters off in a spe­cial post­box at Hel­dan News on Moss Lane which all get a re­ply from Santa. Pop into the shop for more de­tails.

Helen Gille­spie, one of the or­gan­is­ers, said: “Santa will be re­turn­ing to the Moss es­tate this year for the fourth time.

“We don’t col­lect any money or ask for do­na­tions. Each child gets a small present to keep them go­ing un­til Christ­mas Day.”
