CANALSIDE 102.8 FM
IF you want to test your knowledge of pop music, tune in to Nick Wright’s Rolled Gold every weekday morning between 9am and 10am.
Nick rolls back the years with some golden oldies from the 60s, 70s and 80s and, ably assisted by his little mate DJ Dippy, will give you the chance to win some pretend medals as Nick asks questions about groups, artists and song titles.
Not only that you are taken back in time to remember things that happened in the world. Nick also gives a mention to well-known people who are celebrating their birthdays and may even come up with his famous idioms.
There are also a few giggles and mentions of things that Nick got up to when he was a kid, some of which are sure to rekindle some fond childhood memories.
If you are into your golden oldies you can hear more with Jonathan Cook, Harry Atkinson and Fay Armstrong every Sunday. Matt Isaacs also goes back in time every day with his ‘Magic Months’ shows ranging from the 50s to present day, the music he plays will be sure to bring back some memories. Every Sunday at 7.45pm will also bring back memories when we play two episodes of the world famous ‘Bradshaws of Barnoldswick’ which are sure to get you giggling. We like to think that we broadcast something for people of all ages.
