Macc lad Taylor gets called up by England
Continued from back say a big thank you to all the coaches at King’s who worked with us day in day out and, in particular, their former Head of Rugby Andy Rice.”
Tommy played hooker, scrum half and centre for King’s first XV developing a full complement of skills.
Andy Rice, a former Saracens player, said: “He was always a natural athlete and ball player and we wanted to help him develop in all areas of the game by playing him in a variety of positions. He excelled in all of them and captained the school for two years, though given his family’s history he was always going to be called back into the front row.”
Dad David, a leading local accountant with Harts, said: “The family is delighted with his progress and hope he can continue to develop. Though he is 17 stone wringing wet, he hasn’t got an inch of body fat and is very much the modern rugby player which frankly my dad, myself and Ian could not really claim.”
Wasps are currently second in the Premiership just behind Saracens.
