Macclesfield Express - - SCHOOLS NEWS -

A FOOTBALL team are celebrating after scoring a brand new kit.

Children at Wincle CE Primary look smart their new yellow and blue shirts, thanks to NFU Mutual’s Macclesfield agency.

Before this the team didn’t have enough shirts for their own substitutes.

Headteacher Sarah Smith said: “The children were very excited to try on their brand new football kit this term and looked very smart in the Wincle colours of yellow and blue.

“We are now able to make subs during competitions without wardrobe changes first.

“The football team have had mixed success so far this term, learning to deal with the highs and lows of winning and losing. But throughout, the team has shown fantastic commitment and wear their new strip with pride.

“The new kit looks impressive and like our school motto, lets the children ‘shine like stars’.”

The school is holding an open day today, November 30, for prospective parents.

Becky Gayne from NFU Mutual presented the children with the kit and said: “It is fantastic to be involved with the community in this way.”
