Goalscoring Rowe out to fire side to top
MACCLESFIELD Town midfielder Danny Rowe has been thrilled with his recent goalscoring contributions for the team.
The 27-year-old scored for the Silkmen during the 1-1 draw with Gateshead last week, and had scored Macc’s goal against Dover before the match was abandoned on Saturday.
It was the performance against Gateshead that Rowe was pleased with, and he was delighted to contribute.
“It was a good result. We’d done enough to win the game and it was a solid performance,
‘If we can keep getting results we’ll be right up there’
especially after going a goal down as we reacted well to it,” he told the club’s official website.
“It was great to get back on the scoresheet again as that’s what I’m aiming to do, and it was different scoring a header which was nice.
“The last two away games have been very tough games and long trips as well so to come away with what we did was good, but we were unlucky not to get all six points. If we can keep getting results over the next few weeks then we’ll be right up there in the play-off mix.”
Rowe has been in good form since returning to Macc last year, following previous spells at Fylde, Barrow and Stockport.
