PLANS have been revealed for a new holiday retreat in a rural idyll.
Rotunda Roundhouses Limited has submitted plans to build 12 ‘rotunda lodges’ on land off Coppice Road, Poynton.
The scheme also includes a reception building and waterside shelter.
The lodges will be made of timber with a green roof.
The plans are with Cheshire East Council for a decision but have already been met with some local objection.
A COUNTRYSIDE ranger has created a life-sized wood carving for the Middlewood Way.
Ed Pilkington used his chainsaw to carve the statue of a woman ‘passenger’ from a felled poplar.
It is now at the former site of Higher Poynton railway station on the scenic route.
