MACCLESFIELD Town midfielder Ollie Norburn is glad to be back in the first-team set-up after an extended period out through injury.

Norburn suffered a knee injury back in October, which has kept him out of action for the past few months.

He made his comeback in the FA Trophy against Sudbury, before then making his league return in the game against Guiseley earlier this month, and he is now hoping to kick on from here.

“It was a bad result against Guiseley a fortnight ago and one of them where the performance of the team meant we came away very disappointed, but for me personally it was good to get back out there,” he told the club’s official website.

“That was my second game in 14 weeks, and I played the week before at Sudbury so it was nice to get back on the pitch.

“It’s good to be back, I just want to hit the ground running now with some good personal performances and good team performances.

“It’s been frustrating watching from the sidelines, but I’ve worked hard to be ready for when I came back. I feel good and hopefully we can have a strong end to the season.”
