Charity gets £500 help
IT FIRM Axon has raised more than £500 for a Macclesfield charity for kids with autism.
Staff at Axon, who chosen Space4Autism as their 2016 chosen charity, held a number of fundraising events over the past year to support the charity, including bake sales, 100 mile bike rides and swimathons.
The money will help the charity to run activities such as playgroups, youth and support groups and events like movie nights, skating and football.
Cheryl Simpson, chief executive officer for Space4Autism, said: “I would like to thank Axon for choosing Space4Austism as its charity of the year. Not only has the team raised much needed funds towards the valuable work that we do across the community, but it has also helped raise awareness of Space4Autism around the town.”
Axon’s managing director Tim Mears said: “We’re proud to have been able to support such a fantastic local charity. We’re delighted that the money we’ve raised will go towards helping to change the lives of children and adults living with Autism in Macclesfield and enable the charity to carry on with their amazing work.”
