Bright future for new head of window firm
A MACCLESFIELDBASED doors and windows manufacturer has appointed a new managing director.
Kat, based on Queen’s Avenue, Hurdsfield, has promoted Chris Powell from commercial director to the top job.
Chris, who joined the company in 2014, has implemented and overseen strategies for sales and marketing, product development and special projects.
Chris said the firm anticipates continued market growth, which in turn will bring new production and administration opportunities in Macclesfield.
He said: “The business is in a leading position already with plans afoot to expand our offering to our existing UK and Ireland customers.
“I’m delighted to be at the helm of the company at such a pivotal stage in its growth and look forward to announcing positive news in 2017.”
KAT has more than 90 employees and 15 design partners across the UK and Ireland.
Earlier this year KAT acquired Ayrshire Shopfronts which is based in Kilmarnock. It now trades as Ayrshire Aluminium.
It now means KAT has three manufacturing operations in Macclesfield and Sussex.
Chris Powell has been promoted from commercial director to managing director
