Macclesfield Express - - MACCLESFIELD PEOPLE -

IT seems only a couple of weeks ago that local schoolchildren returned to their studies after Christmas, but halfterm week is upon us.

If you are looking at things you can be doing look at the What’s On guide on our new website www. canalsidera

There are loads of things listed from children’s cooking courses at Adlington Village Hall to events that are taking place at local places of interest such as Jodrell Bank just outside Chelford, Quarry Bank Mill in Styal, Tatton Park in Knutsford, and all the local libraries and children’s centres.

The website has a new competition listed. It is your chance to win tickets for a fabulous karaoke night at the Bridge Hotel in Prestbury and, as the saying goes, you have to be in it to win it.

Week commencing Monday, February 27, sees us welcome to our studios the first school work experience students of 2017. They will be shown all things related to radio and local media and will also be given the opportunity to produce and record their own shows which we will broadcast. If you have children who would like to get involved we have a youth internet station, Canalside’s Phase One radio.
