Women’s work is fo­cus of shop­ping cen­tre art

ART­WORK by women from across the re­gion is on dis­play at the Grosvenor Cen­tre.

The ex­hi­bi­tion ‘This Woman’s Work’, show­cas­ing four fe­male artists, is on dis­play in the Macc Art Lounge in the shop­ping cen­tre.

The ex­hi­bi­tion features pieces from San­dra Orme, In­grid Kata­rina Karls­son – fea­tured on Coun­try­file – ceramic artist Ché Finch and land­scape pho­tog­ra­pher Natasha Braith­waite.

Ed Kennedy, Grosvenor Cen­tre man­ager, said: “We re­ally be­lieve in be­ing able to sup­port a range of groups across the Mac­cles­field com­mu­nity, which is one of the many rea­sons we’ve part­nered with Macc Art Lounge.”

Macc Art Lounge is run by Leeds-based East Street Arts, which or­gan­ises pop-up ex­hi­bi­tions.

The Mac­cles­field ex­hi­bi­tion is open un­til Satur­day, March 4, at the Grosvenor Cen­tre on Thurs­day, Fri­day and Satur­day, 11am to 4pm.

John East­wood, Macc Art Lounge man­ager, said: “The Grosvenor Cen­tre is es­tab­lish­ing it­self as a lead­ing venue for creativ­ity and the arts in Mac­cles­field, bring­ing an inspirational ex­pe­ri­ence to vis­i­tors.”
