Women’s work is focus of shopping centre art
ARTWORK by women from across the region is on display at the Grosvenor Centre.
The exhibition ‘This Woman’s Work’, showcasing four female artists, is on display in the Macc Art Lounge in the shopping centre.
The exhibition features pieces from Sandra Orme, Ingrid Katarina Karlsson – featured on Countryfile – ceramic artist Ché Finch and landscape photographer Natasha Braithwaite.
Ed Kennedy, Grosvenor Centre manager, said: “We really believe in being able to support a range of groups across the Macclesfield community, which is one of the many reasons we’ve partnered with Macc Art Lounge.”
Macc Art Lounge is run by Leeds-based East Street Arts, which organises pop-up exhibitions.
The Macclesfield exhibition is open until Saturday, March 4, at the Grosvenor Centre on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 11am to 4pm.
John Eastwood, Macc Art Lounge manager, said: “The Grosvenor Centre is establishing itself as a leading venue for creativity and the arts in Macclesfield, bringing an inspirational experience to visitors.”
