Thorne in the side
MACCLESFIELD Town have made another new signing after Nottingham Forest forward James Thorne joined the club.
The 21-year-old has arrived on an initial one-month loan as the Silkmen look to strengthen their hopes of finishing in the play-offs.
He was part of the Macclesfield squad that played Dulwich Hamlet on Saturday, but was an unused substitute in that game.
Thorne has previously been with Macc having joined them on noncontract terms back during the 2014/15 season.
He was named on the bench for John Askey’s side during that time, but didn’t make any appearances with the club.
Thorne came through the youth ranks at Manchester City before joining Nottingham Forest, where he is now a prominent figure in their development squad.
He made his full time debut for Forest earlier this season when he played in the EFL Cup victory over Millwall.
Meanwhile, Chris Sutherland re-joined Hyde United on loan.
Sutherland heads to Ewen Fields to play for the Evo-Stik Premier Division side on a deal that runs until April 22.
