Revalue homes to raise funds

Macclesfield Express - - YOUR VIEWS -

CHESHIRE East Council is always talking about the cuts it is having to make to social care and education.

Instead of complaining, why don’t they significantly boost their council tax revenues by revaluing all house values in the borough so that they match current market values?

Property values for council tax purposes have not changed since 1991! Nigel Robinson Bollington

DON’T FORGET WAY WE VOTED

AN open letter to David Rutley MP:

As MP for Macclesfield, your constituents voted to remain in the EU. You should respect that decision and act accordingly on that decision.

You might personally have your own view, but this should not influence how you vote on your constituents’ behalf.

When the amendments from the Lords are presented to the Commons next week I hope your conscience and your constituents’ views are seriously considered before you choose how to cast your vote.

I hope that you will NOT be one of the many to just do as you are told. Gillian Moors Melrose Crescent Poynton
