Bird images help camera club swoop to success
THESE powerful pictures of a great grey owl and African fish eagle have earned plaudits for town photographers.
The impressive pictures, captured by Steve Gresty and Conor Molloy, are just two of many submitted to the Lancashire and Cheshire Photographic Union’s annual competition by members of Macclesfield Camera Club.
The club as a whole finished seventh out of 44 clubs which entered the competition, held at Lowton.
Club president Conor Molloy said a consistently good set of colour, monochrome and nature images helped the club finish high up the table.
He said: “Our club continues to go from strength to strength, the members are producing excellent quality work that stacks up well with what is on offer in our region.
“Our aim is to keep improving our position in the years to come and attract even more photographers from around Macclesfield”.
The club meets on Mon- day nights from 8pm until 10pm upstairs at Macclesfield Library.
