Pub overhaul thanks to £200k investment

The Spinners Arms, on Palmerston Street, will benefit from the renovations funded by its operator Punch, and will include full redecoration, new furniture, fixtures and fittings and the installation of a modern kitchen and a new kitchen.
The ladies and gents’ facilities will be refreshed and the outdoor drinking area is to be given a makeover including a stone patio and covered pergola area with new seating, heating and the installation of new lighting.
Landlord Adam Colebach has been running the Spinners Arms with his fiancé for four years and is looking forward to showing off the newlook pub, which is expected to be reopened on Friday, March 24.
He said: “It’s great to see Punch investing in the Spinners Arms, and the plans that I’ve seen look impressive. I’m sure that our regulars and new customers alike will be pleased with the end result. When we reopen, we’ll be able to offer a small premium snack menu featuring burgers and nibbles - perfect for informal dining with friends and family. This is an exciting time for us and we can’t wait until we reopen.”
The Spinners has its own pool and darts teams, SKY and BT Sports entertainment and supports local causes with fundraising activities.
Commenting on behalf of Punch, openings manager, Aimee Moss, said: “The Spinners Arms is perfectly located at the heart of Bollington village and has built a reputation for itself as a true community pub.
“Our investment will give the pub a fresh new look whilst retaining its warm, welcoming atmosphere.
“Adam and his team offer great customer service and I’m confident that they will make the most of the investment to maximise their business opportunities.”
