Pub over­haul thanks to £200k in­vest­ment

A BOLLING­TON pub has closed its doors for £206,000 ren­o­va­tion.

The Spin­ners Arms, on Palmer­ston Street, will ben­e­fit from the ren­o­va­tions funded by its op­er­a­tor Punch, and will in­clude full re­dec­o­ra­tion, new fur­ni­ture, fix­tures and fit­tings and the in­stal­la­tion of a mod­ern kitchen and a new kitchen.

The ladies and gents’ fa­cil­i­ties will be re­freshed and the out­door drink­ing area is to be given a makeover in­clud­ing a stone pa­tio and cov­ered per­gola area with new seat­ing, heat­ing and the in­stal­la­tion of new light­ing.

Land­lord Adam Cole­bach has been run­ning the Spin­ners Arms with his fi­ancé for four years and is look­ing for­ward to show­ing off the newlook pub, which is ex­pected to be re­opened on Fri­day, March 24.

He said: “It’s great to see Punch in­vest­ing in the Spin­ners Arms, and the plans that I’ve seen look im­pres­sive. I’m sure that our reg­u­lars and new cus­tomers alike will be pleased with the end re­sult. When we re­open, we’ll be able to of­fer a small pre­mium snack menu fea­tur­ing burg­ers and nib­bles - per­fect for in­for­mal din­ing with friends and fam­ily. This is an ex­cit­ing time for us and we can’t wait un­til we re­open.”

The Spin­ners has its own pool and darts teams, SKY and BT Sports en­ter­tain­ment and sup­ports lo­cal causes with fundrais­ing ac­tiv­i­ties.

Com­ment­ing on be­half of Punch, open­ings man­ager, Aimee Moss, said: “The Spin­ners Arms is per­fectly lo­cated at the heart of Bolling­ton vil­lage and has built a rep­u­ta­tion for it­self as a true com­mu­nity pub.

“Our in­vest­ment will give the pub a fresh new look whilst re­tain­ing its warm, wel­com­ing at­mos­phere.

“Adam and his team of­fer great cus­tomer ser­vice and I’m con­fi­dent that they will make the most of the in­vest­ment to max­imise their busi­ness op­por­tu­ni­ties.”
