LAST week saw the first group of work experience students of 2017 attend our studios for radio skills and media training.

Pupils from the Fallibroome Academy were shown how to research, plan and deliver shows on air, along with being given the opportunity to work with our presenters.

They were also shown production techniques and given the opportunity to voice up some scripts for playing out on air.

We don’t just offer places to school children, we offer our training facilities to local clubs and organisations who may want to get involved with our community project. If you know anyone who may be thinking of a post-16 or university course in the coming months - why not check out the opportunity to obtain some radio skills right on your doorstep?

They are excellent to add on to a personal statement or CV. If you have children or grandchildren who you think would like to get involved in our training drop us an email to office@canalsideradio. net or give us a call on 01625 576689.

We also welcome people who would like to volunteer some of their time supporting our community project.

If you would like to get involved please contact us via the email or phone number above.
