No easy feat for Macc

JOHN Askey challenged his players to stay in contention for the play-offs with a positive result at York on Tuesday.

Speaking ahead of the midweek clash, the Silkmen manager said it would be no easy feat, regardless of York’s lowly position in the table.

“If we win it puts us in a better position and then we’ll see where that takes us, that’s all we can do,” he said. “It won’t be an easy game at all; they’ve spent a lot of money to try and keep themselves up, and obviously we’ve got them at Wembley but it doesn’t matter who you play at this stage of the season. They’re all difficult games.”
