A THIRTY-THREE year old man was found dead on a footpath.
Police were called at around 3.50pm on Saturday, April 29, to reports of a sudden death on a footpath between High Street and Cross Street, Macclesfield.
A 33 year-old-man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
A police spokesman said there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances. A file is being prepared for the coroner.
AN INVESTIGATION into aggravated burglary is underway after a gang of men forced their way into a house.
Police attended a home on Hurdsfield Green, Macclesfield on Saturday (April 29) at around 10pm after a number of men are believed to have forced their way into the property. Anyone with information is urged to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 938 of April 29 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
TRAVELLERS set up camp on a town centre car park.
The group of caravans moved on to the car park on Dukes Street, Macclesfield on Wednesday (April 26). Council officers issued a notice for them to leave by 3pm on Friday, April 28, warning that if they failed to comply then the council would consider legal action.
A Cheshire East council spokesman said the travellers have now moved on from the site.
