Vipers strike in new kit

MAC­CLES­FIELD’S ju­nior in­line hockey team had the chance to show off their new kit at a tour­na­ment.

The MAC Vipers, who train at the MAC Multi Ac­tiv­ity Cen­tre on God­dall Street, had their strik­ing jer­seys bought by team spon­sors De­ci­pher Con­sult and Con­struct, Cheshire Pest So­lu­tions and Vcielka Maja Czech gro­cery.

The club’s two un­der-12, one U10 and un­der-eight teams wore it when com­pet­ing at the Ather­ton Easter Clas­sic event.

Across 24 games the club won eight, drew 10 and lost six.

Goals came from Ai­den Brooks, James Woo­ley, Jaxon Kirk-Jones, James Mel­lor, Archie Brown, Harry Will­bourn and Jared Snook. Cody Og­den, 10, the net min­der, played in 20 matches.

Rod­er­ick Zuskar, coach, said: “I am so proud of the play­ers, we train up to three times a week and the ef­fort they put in has re­ally paid off.”

Andy Brooks, co-di­rec­tor of the MAC, said: “The Vipers are go­ing from strength to strength. We are proud to be rep­re­sented by such a won­der­ful group of chil­dren and we are look­ing for­ward to join­ing the North West league in Septem­ber.”
