Video games big names showcase their talent
BIG hitters in the video games design industry are coming to Macclesfield to share their stories and expertise.
Arthur Parson, who is head of design at TT Games, responsible for the range of Lego games, will join Macclesfield games expert Jeff Coghlan, of Matmi, and a host of other professionals to speak at the first Weave ‘Town Talk’ event, organised by Cheshire East Council.
The Weave network has been set up to promote the digital and creative sector across Cheshire East.
Denise Proctor, chair of Weave, said: “Cheshire East has a proven track record of developing successful games, including Angry Birds, Squadron 42 and Golf Clash.
“This event will provide a showcase for the fantastic work and expertise on our doorstep and help to attract more talent to the borough.”
‘Virtual Play’ takes place at Macclesfield Town Hall from 6.30pm tomorrow, Thursday, May 4. It will also feature Playdemic, founder of indie games company Merge Luke Keighran, and co-creative director of Cherry Pop VR games Gemma Jessop.
