MEMBERS of the public visited the Grosvenor Centre to get free blood pressure checks with The Rotary Club of Macclesfield Castle in partnership with the Stroke Association.
It’s the third year the drop-in service has run to provide blood pressure checks and advice on diet and how to keep blood pressure under control.
Steve Smith of The Rotary Club of Macclesfield Castle, said: “Being in the centre really makes a difference to those that have their blood pressure checked.
“We were visited by a young male as a follow-up to last year. In 2016 he recorded the highest blood pressure of the day and was advised to visit his GP, where he then received treatment and medication.
“This year it was far lower and he believes visiting us saved his life.”
